Jonathan Van Hoy
Senior Structural Pest Inspector
Jonathan has a broad knowledge of both structural and general pest control. He maintains dual branch 2 and 3 licensing. He began inspecting southern California homes in 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys disc golfing at local courses and hunting for great deals on ebay.
Eric Beck
Senior Home Inspector
Eric is an experienced home inspector and Bay Area native. He has looked at numerous homes and enjoys being able to empower home buyers or sellers to make informed housing decisions.
Brian Goldstone
Home Inspection Manager
Brian is an industry veteran who has inspected thousands of homes. He has previously owned his own inspection business and has worked for several other inspection companies before joining Specialty Inspections in 2006. Brian is also a licensed general contractor and expert plumber and brings a rich construction background to the home inspection process.
Ken Browning
Vice President
Ken brings a wealth of insight and detail to termite inspection reports. His attention to construction detail and reliability have gained a growing base of satisfied clients who continue to return for help with real estate transactions. He joined Specialty Inspections as a seasoned inspector with thousands of inspections performed throughout the entire Bay Area.
Clayton Filson
Roofing Foreman
Clayton has been in the roofing industry for the past five years, and with Specialty for the last two years. When he’s not working, he enjoys BBQ’s with his family and spending quality time with his daughter.
Mike Brooks
Roof Inspector
Mike has been in the roofing industry for over 40 years, starting in 1979. He has been with Specialty for the last six years, and brings an extensive wealth of knowledge to our roofing division. On his days off he enjoys watching football and going backpacking and hiking with his wife.
Perry Knowlton
Home Inspector
Perry has been with Specialty Inspections for over 7 years he has inspected thousands of homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. On Perry’s free time he enjoys hanging out at the the beach and furthering his Home Inspection knowledge.
Burchard “Burch” Lorio
Home Inspector
Burch is new to Specialty Inspections. He has been in the construction industry for eight plus years in a variety different fields. On his free time he enjoys Rock Climbing, Snowboarding & Skateboarding.
Angel Ramirez
Termite Inspector
Angel has been in the construction industry since 2012, and has been with Specialty since 2017. He currently holds both Branch 2 & Branch 3 licenses. Since joining Specialty he has quickly risen through the ranks and is now the construction crew Foreman, scheduling and supervising over all construction work. During his free time he enjoys watching the Raiders and SF Giants play, and spending quality time with his two daughters.
